Territory Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, performs work independently and within a team
environment in the Sales Department. Responsibilities include but are
not limited to developing new accounts and cultivating/expanding sales
with existing customers and ensuring customer satisfaction by performing
the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Focuses on delivering value to the customer at every point of contact.
- Prepares and maintains monthly sales forecasts for all products and services.
- Develops and executes strategies to increase market share and profits.
- Monitors market for need to modify pricing to meet sales objectives and profit goals.
- Creates and makes sales presentations to prospects and existing accounts.
- Attends and coordinates trade shows.
- Spends time in the market to understand customer needs, channels needs and competitive activity, while specifying market requirements and identifying innovative solutions.
- Possesses general understanding of company products and services.
- Writes detailed bid responses and contracts according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to client needs.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions.
- Communicates well with production and administrative teams.
- Coordinates with production department to ensure proper transition and execution of services and products.
- Follows up promptly and accurately when queries are made by customers and prospects.
- Contributes as a team member within the sales team environment.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Possesses basic technical knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and networking.
- Has extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, and Power Point.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college; or three to five years related
experience and/or training in a technical environment; or equivalent combination
of education and experience. Business to Business Sales experience preferred.
